About the Featured Authors
ABOUT JOHN ARNN —John was a music professor and composer/arranger in Belmont University’s School of Music from 1981 until his retirement in 2006. He continued working as a freelance jazz pianist in Nashville venues. After that he focused his creative efforts on writing. A Matter of Choice is his fourth published novel. The Rental was his third book, which focused on family suspense. His first two books, Jaheewah: God of the Winds and Death on Jaheewah Island, were published in 2016 and 2021.
His music has been published by Alliance Music Publications, Fema Publications, Lorenz Music and Selah Publishing Co. A member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, he has supported the Westminster music program by performing, composing and arranging for choral and handbell ensembles, which included many musicals for the Westminster children’s music camps.
ABOUT ANN HARRIS | Ann grew up outside of New York City (Westchester County) and moved to Toronto for her teen and college years (Dalhousie University, Halifax, NS). She returned to the States, married, lived and worked in New York City (advertising); D.C. (National Academy of Sciences); Missoula, MT (Univ. of Montana Religious Studies Department/JAAR editorial asst.); and finally Nashville in 1980. She spent 20 years administering budgets and grants at Vanderbilt Medical Center, followed by staff work with the TSU Geier Federal Consent Decree that settled in 2006, then worked with nonprofit agencies until "rewiring" in 2017 to Leah Rose then Villa Maria Manor, an independent living senior residence, just in time for COVID-19. Ann is blessed with a son, Daniel, two grandchildren and family members who mostly live in the Nashville area. She treasures her church home, Westminster Presbyerian, serving as Elder, choir member, Stephen Minister, writer's group member and active participant in many activities in this vibrant faith community.
