REGISTER HERE One of the most helpful ways to increase our awareness of God’s presence with us is to write about our spiritual journeys and to share insights gained from that practice with our companions along the way. You are invited to begin the new year in a weekly gathering of a small group of fellow travelers. Each week, writing prompts and examples from spiritual autobiographies will inspire your journal writing for the week ahead. This group will meet for eight weeks. The writing is personal and free form, helping us to pay attention and consciously record “what God is doing and has done in and through our lives.” (Quoting Mary Lou Redding from the introduction to her book God Was with Me All Along: A Guide for Capturing Your Memories and Telling Your Story.) Janet Salyer is a retired minister and member of the Presbytery of Middle Tennessee. Her vocational life has included chapters as an English teacher, psychotherapist, freelance writer, spiritual director, and Minister of Word and Sacrament. Janet joined Westminster in 1995 when her husband, Carson, was called as the Associate Pastor for Pastoral Care. She was ordained to the ministry of Teaching Elder in a worship service at Westminster in November 2005.
